On average Americans spend nearly $4,000 annually on home improvement projects. 44% of these individuals will take on an interior design project and 22% will refurnish a room. Homeowners tend to spend more on decorating projects and they spend nearly twice as much as renters on home furnishings.

Currently total annual spending for residential renovation and repair is more than $200 billion. Naturally homeowners spend a lot on home improvements; in fact they spend an average of $4,000 a year with 1 in 10 spending $10,000+. Approximately one third of all homeowners plan 3 or more home improvement projects annually, including interior decorating, remodeling, landscaping & gardening as well as expansion and necessary maintenance.

80% of all households in the U.S. participate in some form of gardening spending, on average, over $400 annually on lawn care and landscaping. Women are responsible for making nearly 75% of all lawn and garden spending decisions.
